Holiday Christmas Tree and Light Recycling

Gabriel and Sons Recycling hopes everyone has enjoyed their holidays. Now that its over what do you do with the tree? Hop on your new electronic device and find out the tree pick up date, time and location.

Don't throw away those broken lights, they can be recycled. If you have a little space you can hold on to those lights and next year sometime around Thanksgivings time there will be programs to trade in your old broken light for new one or discounts off a new set.

Holidays Electronic Recycling

As you can imagine, this is the time of year when many replace their cell phone, iPod, tablet or camera for new models. What happens to those old unwanted items? Do they end up in a drawer at home? Or worse, do they get tossed in the garbage?
Did you know that 20-50 million tons of e-waste are disposed of and end up in landfills worldwide every year? And that only 12.5% of e-waste is currently recycled?
We strongly support educating our community about the importance of recycling and preserving the planet. It's not any different than the habits we have formed to recycle paper, cans and other household items. The hands-on experience of recycling a few used cell phones and small electronics are small actions that can make a big impact.
Help us create a better tomorrow by recycling the following items.
  • Inkjet Cartridges
  • Cell Phones
  • PDAs
  • iPods
  • iPads/Tablets
  • eBook Readers
  • Digital Cameras
  • GPS Units
  • Calculators
  • Video Game Consoles/Handhelds
  • Video Games

  • and so many more

Holiday Christmas recycling

We often say Happy BirthdayMerry ChristmasHappy Anniversary or hundreds of other celebratory greetings by giving gifts. But it ruins the surprise if you know what you’re getting right away. As much fun as wrapping paper can be, it is also a wasteful part of gift-giving. As much as half of the 85 million tons of paper products Americans consume every year goes toward packaging, wrapping and decorating goods. Also, wrapping paper and shopping bags alone account for about 4 million tons of trash annually in the U.S.
Wrapping paper can be recycled, so make sure it goes in the recycle bin not garbage can.
